Originally by: Megan Maynard 1. Those of you who do not use nano ships need to stop acting like you are gods of the eve universe. The nano nerf is not finalized, and people who have invested alot of time and isk into nano'ing their ship have a right to be upset.
2. The patch is not complete. Test server will under go more changes hopefully and some of the major issues such as: Ishkur being the be all king of frigates, no effective way to get close to a target with an AB. (As in trying to tackle someone and getting owned because you can't get your transversal high enough.) HAC's warping slower then bejesus. And snakes set's being entirely worthless. As well as Polycarbs.
Yeah - you have the right to be upset and I think you can blame ccp for taking so long to fix a broken game mechanic. If ccp had fixed nanos as soon as they had become aware of how they're game-breaking, people like you wouldn't even had bothered to invest time and isk into exploiting it. CCP have stated it's unintended and broken for how long? 2 years? What the heck took them so long to fix it? It's not like it takes any recoding or anything.
This delay actually only ended up in ****ing both sides off - the ones who didn't want to nano, suffering from an exploit for a long time and now that it's fixed, it's perfectly well understandable those using it as a tactic are not aamused...

3. If anyone expects to break into 0.0 with the current patch you are in for a rude surprise. Nano players, I would say a good majority, got into nano because of the large bubbled gate camps in 0.0. It allows for many things, but the speed seen on the test server yesterday will make 0.0 even more blobby then it is now.
Probably - but it evens out things between those not willing to nano and nanos. We wanted to get around bubble blobs in 0.0 without a nano? Just get good intel, use cov ops etc... In short words learn to adapt instead of using a copy and paste win button fitting...

For clarification: I like the rescaling of the ships. (Awesome.) I like the warp scram change. (Awesome.) I don't like the MWD changes. (Nutz cut off) I don't like the EAS changes. (Speed) I like the AB changes. (Nice boost.) I don't like the snake set changes. I don't like the polycarb changes. (Expensive should mean a good performance increase, which they are not w/the new patch.) I don't like how slow the game feels. It use to be fun undocking and zipping around the station, how it feels like I'm in a cruiser.
Ships going 17 km/s is broke I agree, but is it fair to reduce their speed by 2-3 times? The fastest un-overheated ceptor I saw was going 6400 m/s. Barely enough to avoid some missiles.
Keep in mind, much like some of you haven't nano'd before, some of use haven't put the time or isk into conventional tanking. (And some of us don't want to, ever.)
I think an inty having trouble to avoid the fastest missiles without overheating is exactly how it should be. The AB needed some love - they were so useless that even though I did never nano, it was just mandatory to put an MWD on most ships as the AB was just inefficient.
My main has seen the whole nano-age, and allthough I was often tempted to go with the flow, I never did because I thought it was a lame tactic - those of you who went for speed will still be that fastest ships outthere - just not at that ridiculous win-button levels...
